Maduro: Europe and the United States (economically suicide) to put pressure on Russia

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has confirmed that Europe and the United States are "economically committing suicide" by their attempts to pressure Russia.

"Europe and the United States have chosen economic and social suicide for their society and economy, in order to harm Russia, all because of the Russophobia complex," Maduro was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency.

Maduro added: "The West prefers the energy crisis and the economic crisis to a peace dialogue with Russia," calling on all parties to return to the diplomatic dialogue to prevent the escalation of the conflict and the outbreak of a new world war.
