Missing Scarlett (26): hiker reports discovery in the Black Forest – police with the first details

For two years there has been no trace of a young hiker from North Rhine-Westphalia, Scarlett disappeared on a hike in the Black Forest.
Now there is a first find.

File number XY also reported on the missing Scarlett.
The young woman disappeared while hiking through the Black Forest.
For two years, investigators and relatives searched for the decisive lead, but there is still no trace of the young hiker.
Now, however, light could finally be brought into the dark, because the police have apparently discovered an important find in the search for Scarlett.

Scarlett has been missing since September 10, 2020.
On that day she left Todtmoos for the last stage of her Black Forest tour via thegorge trail.
The last sign of life from the then 26-year-old was captured by a surveillance camera in a supermarket.
The footage shows Scarlett on the morning of her disappearance.
What happened to the young hiker afterwards: unclear.
Even the successful ZDF program Aktenzeichen XY did not bring the decisive clue.
"What happened to the missing person is still unclear," said a spokeswoman for the Waldshut-Tiengen public prosecutor's office when asked by the dpa in early September.

But now the tide could turn, because the police have made an important discovery.
As can be read on the Facebook search page "Please find Scarlett", a pair of sunglasses was found a few days ago that are very similar to the missing hiker's sunglasses.
Accordingly, further intensive search measures are to follow.
As a spokeswoman for the Waldshut-Tiengen public prosecutor's office reported to the
Badische Zeitung
, a hiker discovered the sunglasses on the last stage of the gorge trail.
For a clear assignment, the sunglasses will now be examined for DNA traces.
Accordingly, there had already been a large search operation around the site on Monday.
However, no further trace of the missing persons could be discovered.
A young backpacker from Germany is also missing.
The young man had traveled to Gran Canaria, where his trail was lost.
