The question is whether it is even allowed there.

There is a Greek tavern at the Lustberghof on the B 17 between Landsberg and Schongau.

But what about the car dealership on the north side of the site?

No business has been registered for this, nor has a building application been submitted.

Denklingen

– A good two dozen used cars are parked on the gravel area between the B 17 on the east side and the wooded area in the west at the Lustberghof on the B 17 near Denklingen.

There are a few vans among them.

Small trucks are also parked.

There is a container at the site.

It's probably for sales talks.

A dealer has created the car parking space at the Lustberghof since last year.

He says he lives in Kaufering and bought this area north of the Lustberghof.

The location is good.

When asked, he also explains that he has registered a business for this purpose.

The editors asked the municipality of Denklingen, the answer from the town hall came quickly and was clear.

"There is no business registration in the municipality of Denklingen," says the reply.

Mobile phone number container

The editors had previously inquired at the Landsberg district office.

Anna Diem from the press office describes the situation as follows: Whether a car dealership is permitted temporarily or permanently in this open space next to the main road would have to be clarified in a building permit process.

In any case, the district office has not yet received any application.

A plain sheet of paper behind a crumpled film taped to the container reads: AM automobiles, purchase and sale of cars, vans and trucks (construction machinery).

In the last line there is a mobile number.

Nothing came of the gas station

The dealer explains on the phone that he mainly sells the used cars, vans and small trucks abroad.

Local and regional customers would hardly be served by him.

On the large gravel area north of the Lustberghof, there were earlier efforts to obtain planning permission for a gas station on the B17.

It's been six years now.

But nothing came of it.

The land use planning process has been quietly discontinued.

A look at the history of the building

The history of the Lustberghof is changeable and at the same time quite opaque.

One Denklinger put it this way: Quite a lot went “in the gray area”.

The former stables were dented by snow loads.

And over the past 30 years, plots of land that belonged to the previous economy have been sold piece by piece.

The Lustberghof has been owned by a man from the Dachau district for a number of years.

He leased the restaurant.

The owner of the Lustberghof does not run the car trade himself.

A good year ago, the Denklinger municipal council dealt with extensions and conversions to the Lustberghof.

The committee agreed to the proposed structural changes to the inn and the outbuilding.

There is no need to worry about a splinter settlement if it is converted into hotel rooms and holiday apartments.

The keyword for this is temporary, not permanent accommodation.

They were also in agreement with an apartment for the operations manager.

The use of the gravelled area was not an issue in this context.
