The youth work association will take over the municipal childcare facilities in Indersdorf from September next year.

Indersdorf – In the coming year, the municipality of Indersdorf will hand over its childcare to a new provider: the Zweckverband Jugendarbeit based in Haimhausen.

The association is not unknown in the community, has been taking care of youth work in the community and school-related youth work at the primary school for many years.

In addition, the special purpose association has taken over the lunchtime care at the elementary school since September.

Indersdorf's mayor is delighted: "It's particularly charming for us"

A way that mayor Franz Obesser likes, as he said at the most recent municipal council meeting: "For us it is particularly charming when the children are accompanied by a porter all the time.

From someone we have known and valued for many years.”

And there is one more thing that makes Obesser happy: Sebastian Jaeger, former team leader for the Indersdorfer youth work, is now working partly in Indersdorf again because of the restructuring, because: Jaeger had taken over the area management for the day care facilities in the special purpose association last year.

Jaeger himself is happy to be active again in Indersdorf.

For him it is a step back to the roots. For years the social worker was the contact person for the young people in Indersdorf in the youth center, later he took over the management of the youth work there.

"It's nice for me to accompany children who will later be cared for by our team again."

And social pedagogue Carolin Patock, who will be responsible for the municipal daycare centers in Indersdorf from September 2023 as head of the elementary area in the Zweckverband, is no stranger there either.

She, too, is already working in the Indersdorf youth center.

Reasons for restructuring

There are several reasons for the restructuring of childcare in Indersdorf.

First: the growth.

Childcare has grown steadily in recent years and today includes crèches, kindergartens, after-school care, the various forms of midday and afternoon care at primary school, social work at primary and secondary school, open child and youth work and, last but not least, all-day care at the middle school and at the latest from 2026 also at the Indersdorf elementary school.

Wrong twenties from Schwabhausen

The second reason is that Renate Krämer, who has been head of the daycare center for many years, will retire in July 2023.

With a view to the growth, Obesser emphasized at the municipal council meeting: "In the future, there will be an urgent need for cross-departmental coordination in the entire area of child and youth social work and education." That was the reason for the market to opt for a specialized provider in the future decide.

It was also important for Obesser to emphasize “that the existing staff will be taken over by the new provider.

This will not result in any disadvantages for the employees.”

Association for youth work

Twelve municipalities belong to the youth work association.

He runs several kindergartens, day nurseries, all-day schools, lunchtime care, youth work and school social work.

"In addition to the necessary employees, he has the quality, expertise and professionalism to fulfill all of these tasks," said Obesser at the meeting.

And since the municipality is a member of the special-purpose association, Obesser is happy about another advantage: "There is greater transparency and the possibility of co-determination here than with any other organisation!"
