Over 90 exhibitors want to present themselves next week in Penzberg at a large job and training fair.

More than 1000 visitors are expected.

The job fair on Tuesday, October 4th is open to all interested parties, i.e. to adults and young people.

The following day is reserved for registered school classes.

Penzberg – In 2019 the job and training fair was still held in the Rathauspassage, in 2020 it was only digital due to the corona.

Last year, it was then able to take place again, concentrated on one day, with around 70 exhibitors in the Stadthalle.

Job fair on October 4th will be bigger than its predecessor

The new edition is now getting bigger: next Tuesday, October 4th, more than 90 exhibitors from the region want to present themselves at the Penzberg job fair ("The Job Event") from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This evening at the fair is open to both adults who want to reorient themselves professionally and to young people who are about to start their careers.

Young people can take their parents with them.

The job fair will take place for the first time in the municipal gym (“old wave pool gym”) next to the family pool construction site, which offers more space than the town hall.

Separately, but with the same exhibitors, there will be a training fair on Wednesday, October 5th, which is reserved for registered school classes.

Around 800 students from the region are expected for this second day alone.

“Employers in the region have massive vacancies”

The organizers are again Sabine Ostermann, Nicola Schackmann and Katharina Panholzer from the Penzberg company "Neuorientation 0812", who also organize trade fairs in other locations, such as Peißenberg and Starnberg.

They organized the Penzberg “Job Event” hand in hand with the city of Penzberg and its business development agency, Lisa Fisch.

Financial support also comes from the district of Weilheim-Schongau.

"Employers in the region have massive vacancies," reports Sabine Ostermann.

You have the feeling that the number has increased significantly again this year.

According to her, this applies to all professional fields.

More than 300 vacancies alone were reported to you as the organizer.

In fact, there could be more.

Ostermann estimates that there will also be hundreds of apprenticeships.

It is all the more important to bring both sides together and show what opportunities there are in the region.

Great variety of industries at the job fair - lectures and speed dating

The sectors that will be represented at the Penzberg job fair on Tuesday (and at the training fair on Wednesday) are correspondingly diverse: from technology and IT to metal construction and education, health and crafts to gastronomy, administration, logistics and chemicals.

Penzberg day-care centers and schools are also represented as exhibitors.

Short presentations and job speed dating will also be offered again, in which seven exhibitors will briefly introduce themselves and then there will be time for a chat.

The organizers also want to address Ukrainian refugees with the job fair.

There are interpreters on site for them.
