While fleeing the police, a man hit a young woman in Cologne.

The Audi driver caught the woman and dragged her along on the hood.

Cologne – On Monday evening, September 26, the driver of a blue Audi fled from the police with stolen license plates, reports 24RHEIN.

He overlooked a 21-year-old pedestrian.

According to the police, he caught the young woman in the junction area when crossing Viersener Straße in Cologne (district of Cologne-Nippes).

"Around 7:40 p.m., a patrol team from the Nippes police station tried to stop the Audi driver on Neusser Strasse because of his rapid driving style.

Instead of stopping, however, the young man accelerated and turned into Viersener Straße in the opposite direction to the traffic,” the police said.

In the junction area, there was a collision with the young woman who wanted to cross the street there.

The woman fell from the bonnet onto the road about 80 meters behind where she had been charged.

The Audi driver continued his journey, but came to a standstill on Christinastrasse when the vehicle collided with a bollard and stopped.

However, the driver and his occupants still did not think about giving up.

Instead, according to witnesses, the three dark-haired men aged 16 to 20 ran away in the direction of Kempener Straße, according to the police.

One of the men is said to have worn a baseball cap, it is said.

The young pedestrian was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

So far, the police have not been able to find the unknown, fugitive Audi driver.

However, it is now clear that the stolen license plates of the blue Audi could be attributed to a theft under the A59 motorway bridge at Linder Kreuz.
