The postponement of the federal-state consultations with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) planned for Wednesday is anything but convenient for Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann.
The deliberations on the federal relief package are very important to the Green politician - however, the meeting will now take place on October 4th and thus in the middle of his long-planned trip to the USA.
Stuttgart - Now the possible alternatives are being played through in the State Ministry.
Switch on the prime minister via video despite the big time difference?
Send a representative to the Berliner Runde?
Or even cancel the delegation trip?
One wants to ensure that the country is well represented at the Prime Ministers' Conference, said a government spokesman for the German Press Agency.
As of now, however, it is planned that the trip will take place.
Kretschmann actually wants to travel to the USA with a large delegation from October 2nd to 8th to find out more about artificial intelligence and cyber security in Pittsburgh and California.
