The National Museum of Aleppo hosted a musical evening, in which 20 students from the Sabah Fakhri Institute participated in the performance of the “Scheherazade” symphony by the Russian artist Korsakov.

The evening, which was held by the Directorate of Culture and the Directorate of Museums and Antiquities in Aleppo, in cooperation with the Sabah Fakhri Institute of Music, was marked by the splendid performance of the musicians. Over the course of an hour, the students were able to take the audience through classical melodies to the imaginary worlds of the magic of the East, and it was a night of one thousand and one nights.

The Director of Culture in Aleppo Jaber Al-Sajour pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter that the evening is evidence of the sophistication and civilization of Aleppo, especially as it resulted in years of qualifying and training students at the Sabah Fakhri Institute.

The head of the branch of the Artists Syndicate in Aleppo, Abdel Halim Hariri, explained that the evening sends humanitarian and social messages that Aleppo is still vibrant, and will forever be full of cultural heritage.

Two major leaders of the orchestra pointed out the importance of the evening as it represents a heritage artistic platform to showcase the talents of the students, indicating that the number of participants in playing the “Shiherazade Symphony” consisting of 4 parts, inspired by the tale of One Thousand and One Nights, are 20 students of different ages ranging from 10 To 15 years, the instruments used were piano, violin, cello, and flute.

Student Lorian Ayoub emphasized her and her friends' happiness in reviving the musical heritage, while student Stephanie Rabat demonstrated the importance of Scheherazade's Symphony and the beauty of its melodies.

The student, Ernest Khalil, expressed his happiness with playing the Scheherazade piece, praising the efforts of everyone who gave him the opportunity to play in the National Museum.
