This Sunday she found herself stuck for several hours on a motorway service area in Rosny-sur-Seine, in the Yvelines with her sister-in-law and her two children, aged 4 and 6.

After an hour's drive, the bus makes a first stop at the Rosny-sur-Seine rest area.
"We went down with the little ones," says Filiz.
We knew we had 10 minutes to go to the bathroom, we were on time.
When we got out, the bus was gone.

My husband had to travel from Caen (Calvados) to pick us up, and my other sister-in-law went to Cabourg to pick up the luggage.
