The Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Firas Nabhan, discussed today with Mustafa Saeed, the head of trade unions in the regional office of the International Labor Organization in Beirut, the possibilities of cooperation in the field of issues related to the conditions of Syrian workers in the countries of the region.

During the meeting, Nabhan pointed out that all labor issues and legislation in Syria are discussed within the framework of the Social Dialogue Council, which includes representatives of workers and employers, pointing out the importance of the participation of workers' representatives in all matters related to technical cooperation with the organization, in order to promote a decent work environment and contribute to maintaining their rights, and achieving a balance between employers on the one hand, and workers on the other.

In turn, Saeed pointed to the importance of coordination to hold upcoming meetings and to represent the three work parties, the General Federation of Trade Unions, Workers and Employers, and to coordinate in all possible aspects of cooperation, and to prepare a joint work programme.

On the 26th of this month in the Lebanese capital, the Regional Office of the International Labor Organization held a training workshop for social security inspectors with the participation of Syria. and the Sultanate of Oman.
