Unterallgäu - The State Road 2013 will be renewed by the Kempten State Building Authority in the area between Markt Rettenbach and Lannenberg from September 28th, 2022.
The repair work is necessary due to the poor condition of the road and serves both to improve road safety and traffic flow, the building authority announced in a press release.
In addition to the renewal of the existing structure, the ditch parallel to the road will be filled in the course of widening the roadway.
Furthermore, vehicle restraint systems are retrofitted.
A complete closure is required for the structural implementation of the maintenance measure.
This is expected to last until November 25th, 2022.
After the repair measures between Lannenberg and Eutenhausen as well as between Eutenhausen and Mussenhausen, the third section of the state road 2013 is now being upgraded in accordance with the current technical requirements.
The main focus here is on preservation of the stock.
In addition to restoring the load-bearing capacity, the roadway is to be widened.
For this purpose, the ditch running parallel to the road will be filled and consolidated by means of soil improvement.
In addition, trees standing at the edge of the road and the bridge structure over the Aucherbach will be equipped with vehicle restraint systems.
These are intended to protect road users from leaving the lane and the associated possible collisions.
To ensure that the work can be carried out properly and safely and that the construction time is kept as short as possible, the section of road is completely closed for eight to nine weeks.
