In a Reddit thread, a user shares a video of a Tesla Model S, the interior of which is badly neglected after being in an underground car park for a month.

Stuttgart/Austin – In a Reddit forum, a user published a short video of a Tesla Model S in an underground car park.

"Hey guys, that's what happens when you leave your brand new Tesla Model S in a Turkish underground car park for a month," says the filmmaker.

The interior of the electric sedan is very neglected and moldy after being in the garage, as the photos show.

In the forum, however, some users doubt the history of the film ends.

In London, a Tik-Toker discovered a totally dilapidated Porsche in a luxury district.

Tesla Model S after a month in the garage - "that's mold and that's not a Tesla problem"

For car fans, the images of the approximately one-minute video on Reddit that

writes about are difficult to bear, but otherwise the interior of the electric sedan looks anything but healthy.

Both the front and rear seats are covered in a greenish-brown mold and the steering wheel is covered in mildew at the bottom edge.

The interior paneling of the windows and doors was also badly damaged.

According to the owner, he wanted to pick up the electric car from the garage after a month and was shocked by the condition.

"What happened?" he asks.

Especially with the early batches of the Tesla models, there were occasional complaints about the processing of the vehicles, which cannot keep up with that of established traditional groups such as Mercedes-Benz or BMW.

Even Tesla expert Ove Kröger found processing errors when he tested a Model Y from Grünheide.

In the Reddit thread, other users do not attribute the shocking condition of the Model S to Tesla's errors.

"This is mold and this is not a Tesla problem," writes one.

Another user agrees that this is what any car would look like after a month in a damp garage.

"You can't blame Tesla for that."

Video of moldy Tesla: Reddit users have theory about the origin

It's no secret that moisture in basements or even garages leads to mold growth.

Mold and bacteria can also accumulate in the air conditioning system, which is why it should be cleaned regularly.

In the case of the heavily moldy Tesla Model S in the video on Reddit, some users assume that there is more to the condition of the electric car.

"Sorry, there was no way the interior wasn't already wet before the car was parked," writes one.

Another suspects that the owner cleaned his Tesla model before parking it in the garage, and the interior wasn't completely dry yet.

Many other users in the Reddit thread agree with this opinion.

"[The car] must have had a wet carpet or rotten fruit or something in there before it was locked," one surmised.

"I've had my Tesla in the garage for a month and it doesn't look like it." Other Reddit users also poked fun at Tesla over the video.

"Nice Tesla, is it new?", "no, its mold" (no, he's moldy), writes one in relation to the English words "old" (old) and "mold “ (moldy).

Another comments: "Giga mold - growing faster than you can get a service appointment."
