Engineer Louay Al-Husari, director of the branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in Hama, indicated that 3200 tons of sifted and sterilized wheat seeds were supplied to the branches of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in the governorate, to be distributed to farmers with the start of financing operations for the next season with agricultural production requirements in preparation for the start of the cultivation process.
Al-Hosari said in a statement to SANA reporter: The quantities of sifted and sterilized wheat seeds in the Corporation’s branch have reached 9600 tons to date, and the sifting and sterilization process is still going on, in the main sifter in Kfarbhum, with a production capacity of 150 tons per day.
He added: The branch has ended the sales of elite potato seeds resulting from the open fields planted within the national multiplication project, in order to meet the needs of potato growers for the next season, noting that sales are carried out directly to farmers, and the quantity is determined according to the agricultural license, as the quantities sold reached In the field of work in Hama Governorate, about 140 tons.
