After investigation, the Kowloon East Regional Crime Department identified a 35-year-old man surnamed Wang, who was believed to be involved in six burglaries.

Yesterday (27th) morning, detectives arrested the suspect in Ngau Tau Kok District. During the operation, the clothes he was wearing during the crime were seized. The arrested person is being detained and the police will investigate whether he is involved in other burglary cases.

The police appealed to the public to pay more attention to the elderly at home, and reminded them not to leave valuables and large amounts of cash at home, and to remember to lock the doors and windows when sleeping or going out, so as not to be exploited by thieves.

The police also stressed that burglary is a very serious crime. Once convicted, the maximum penalty is 14 years in prison. Members of the public should not try the law.
