With the enchanting autumn nights, the audience of Al-Azm Palace enjoyed a musical evening presented by the Damascus Orchestra, led by musician Muhammad Zagloul, and with the participation of artists Faten Sidawi and Rayan Jarira.

The orchestra began this evening, which was organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture, by paying tribute to the spirit of the late Diab Mashhour by performing the songs “A Maya and Yaburdin”.

With his melodious voice, he performed the song Jana Al-Hawa by Al-Asmar Nightingale, which entertained the audience and interacted with them by applause and singing.

The singer, Faten Sidawi, praised Umm Kulthum's song "Fat the Time" for the planet of the East, and in a joint song with the choir and a song, she presented a piece entitled "Sahrat Love".

Among the musical pieces that the audience interacted with was the instrumental Shorouk, which is considered the first work of the Egyptian composer Hani Muhanna, and it is an Egyptian folk piece presented by the Damascus Orchestra in its unique style.

In a statement to SANA, the musician, Mohamed Zagloul, indicated that this concert is an academic mix between singers from two generations, a veteran and a young man, which constitutes an important musical mix that will gain experience and knowledge for the younger generation.

He explained that this evening is a tribute to the spirit of the late Diab Mashhour in appreciation of his generous artistic career, pointing out that the Damascus Orchestra, which was established in 2016, aims to spread the Syrian, heritage and Arab musical culture in general.
