Tough pensioner from Starnberg lets scammers run up

A pensioner from Starnberg receives a so-called shock call.

Starnberg- A 71-year-old pensioner from Starnberg receives a so-called shock call and reacts in such an exemplary manner that the perpetrator can be arrested.
As the responsible criminal police in Fürstenfeldbruck explained, there were eight shock calls in their area of responsibility on Tuesday.
The suspects contacted their victims by phone and claimed that the respective daughter had caused a fatal accident and bail costs had now been incurred.
Two cases had special features: An 82-year-old woman from Eichenau in the Fürstenfeldbruck district responded to the fraudsters' claims.
She went to Munich, withdrew a mid-five-digit amount and handed it over to a male person she didn't know in the Munich area.
Pensioner from Söcking suffers no financial damage
The fraud attempt in Starnberg, district of Söcking, went better.
There, the pensioner recognized the attempted fraud and informed the police at the same time as she was on the phone with the suspects.
As a result, a 20-year-old was arrested.
In this case, there was no financial damage.
