Tensions on the Temple Mount continue:

in an announcement issued ahead of the holidays by the Al-Aqsa Association, which operates under the auspices of the southern faction of the Islamic movement, which is affiliated with the Ra'am party, the association calls on Muslim worshipers to "fortify themselves at the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The association's Facebook page reads:

"The Islamic movement - the Al-Aqsa Association, invites you to increase your attendance at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and fortify it in the coming days and weeks."

The call to fortify the mosque followed the riots that took place early this week on Monday morning, when several dozen rioters began chanting incitement in the area of the Lions' Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, with some throwing stones at the police forces.

On top of that, during the night between Monday and Tuesday, a number of young people locked themselves in the mosque on the Temple Mount, and as the visits began, rioters inside the mosque started firing fireworks intermittently from inside the mosque.

Those troublemakers caused the mosque to be desecrated and damaged.

The association even invites worshipers to arrive on buses financed by it: "There are going to be buses from all over the country."

Maor Tsemach, chairman of the 'Go to Jerusalem' organization, and Mattan Peleg, chairman of the 'If You Want' movement, said in response: "The State of Israel must act against those who plan to shut down the capital city, escalate terrorism in Jerusalem and disrupt the holiday atmosphere for the entire Israeli people .

We call on the Israel Police and the Minister of Justice, who is responsible for the Registrar of Associations, to arrest the leaders of the association and immediately stop its inciting activities.

We all remember what happened in the last two years during the holidays on the Temple Mount.

This time, action must be taken in advance to prevent the arrival of the buses with the rioters.'

The association operates under the auspices of the southern faction of the Islamic movement, which is affiliated with Ra'am.
