In 2019, chef Charles Webb visited Israel for the first time.

With no real connection to the Holy Land, the chef sought out enticing culinary destinations for his nascent chain series.

Webb showed great interest in delicious strongholds such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Acre and marked us on the map.

But the corona changed the plans and the long-awaited filming was postponed - until this month.

And here, at the beginning of Tashpag, Chef Charles Webb returned to Israel and, as promised, spent about a week with us, during which he researched and documented the local food scene.

He interviewed leading chefs and chefs from the culinary field for his show, cooked one meal at "Vesper" in Tel Aviv - the young stronghold of the we like you too group.

And one in Jerusalem - in the magical atelier in the heart of Mahniuda market, of the Jerusalem chef Tali Friedman - and found it to be good.

Apart from everything related to food, the curious chef sought to reveal the Israeli cultural world, as one that makes Israel a worthy and desirable tourist destination.

In the fascinating meeting with him, we had an honest conversation about everyone's influence on the image of their homeland around the world, what is the role of the social network in expressing the local identity of creative people and how can it be used to build an international community of creative people.
