In the energy crisis, there is also growing concern about a major power outage.
The city of Rosenheim has now sent out a flyer with information to the citizens.
Rosenheim – The energy crisis has been worrying many citizens for weeks now.
The alleged attack on the gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea further intensifies them.
However, many people worry not only about a cold winter, but also about a major blackout.
Because if the power were to fail for a long time and across the board, the consequences would be catastrophic.
According to experts, such a scenario is unlikely.
And yet the city of Rosenheim sent out a blackout flyer - and thus unsettled many citizens.

"Blackout - and then?" It says on the flyer sent by Rosenheim to all households.
It contains information primarily on how to prepare for such a horror scenario, what the consequences of a power failure are and how to behave during the blackout.

Relatively simple information, then, but in the current, already worrying situation, this flyer has of course caused a lot of uncertainty among the people of Rosenheim.
According to a resident quoted anonymously by BR, the flyer at work was the number one topic of conversation.
It was agreed that if something like this came from the city, then there was something to it.
And: If the city administration had only wanted to inform, then this shot would have backfired, so the anonymous Rosenheimer to the BR.

Mayor's letter arranges flyers - power outages cannot be ruled out
The flyer was also accompanied by a letter signed by the mayor, Andreas March, writes the BR.
It would say that the note was not intended to spread panic, but to provide citizens with basic information.
So far, many people have contacted the city, on the one hand to thank them for the information, on the other hand to express their concerns or to criticize the flyer as exaggerated.

The forecast for the winter, however, remains the same: the experts do not expect a long-lasting and widespread power failure that could have catastrophic consequences.
However, smaller blackouts, which would only be of shorter duration, cannot be ruled out.
