"The Terminator is back" - With these words, Söder comments that he gave Schwarzenegger a prize.
There were critical voices on Twitter.
Munich – On Tuesday, September 27, Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder presented Arnold Schwarzenegger with an honorary award.
But that didn't happen without background noise. So the film and bodybuilder legend who emigrated to California didn't even know what he was getting the award for.
And then Söder also faced a lot of criticism online.
Söder awards Schwarzenegger honorary prize – but what actually?
Before the ceremony, Schwarzenegger was asked if he knew what he was getting the honorary award of the Bavarian TV prize, the blue panther.
"I have no idea," replied the 75-year-old.
Then he speculated that it might be for his fitness crusade, which he started in Munich in the 1960s.
Or for his Terminator movies?
Schwarzenegger simply didn't know.
At the ceremony, Söder enlightened the ex-governor of California.
In his opinion, the award could also have been given for the Terminator films alone, of which Söder, as a "child of the 80s", is a big fan.
What was more impressive was how consistent Schwarzenegger had expressed himself, especially on social media, in the context of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.
About a month after the invasion, the actor shared a video in which he took a pro-Ukrainian stance against Russian aggression, along with a call for Russians to distance themselves from the war.
"A statement that moved many people," said Söder.

While some Twitter users were happy about the pictures, many did not like the tweet at all.
The tenor: Söder spends far too much time being photographed with celebrities or in beautiful scenery than actually working.
"Do you work sometimes too?
It's just a cult of personality in black," wrote one user, for example.

Another wondered if Söder would make it to the plenary session in the Bavarian state parliament in time – four hours later the user himself answered his question: “And the answer is no.
Soder not in the state parliament!"
