A gas leak appears to have occurred at a comprehensive school in Idstein (Rheingau-Taunus district).
At least 23 students are injured.
Idstein – At least 23 students were injured in a gas leak at a comprehensive school in Idstein on Thursday (September 29).

According to the first information from the civil protection of the Rheingau-Taunus district, 18 of them were taken to nearby hospitals.
It was initially unclear what type of gas it was.
Tear gas may have been sprayed, said a spokesman for civil protection.
Two rescue helicopters, around 30 ambulances and around ten emergency doctors were deployed during the large-scale operation.
The streets around the affected school were blocked by emergency vehicles.
Parents should head for a neighboring train station.
