District – While the district councilors hope for discussions and openness after the non-public meeting on the subject of “Crisis in the Clinic Administrative Council”, District Administrator Thomas Eichinger (CSU) goes on the offensive in his social media series “District Administrator Live”.

After the KREISBOTE made the anonymous allegations public and the topic was discussed in the district council, he now wants to make a public statement.

Of course, he did not act illegally, the lawyer Eichinger clarifies with conviction.

He describes the anonymous accusations as “slander”, particularly “perfidious” because he was not allowed to comment on the content of the closed session.

A legal clarification, on the other hand, would be "fair", then he could clarify under "naming of persons".

The district administrator also commented on the board meeting in question and spoke of “shattering events that some board members would like to sweep under the carpet”.

They are "illegal and unlawful", a "gross breach of duty" on the part of the employees and council members.

From the district administrator's point of view, the hospital employees agreed in advance with members of the board of directors outside of the meeting and created a 'script' with distributed roles and ready-made statements as well as "the stated goal of dismissing the board of directors".

Board member Marco Woedl was not even allowed to comment on the allegations.

The vote (8:7 votes for Woedl to remain, editor's note) on whether he would remain on the board was not taken under pressure either: "In reality, they did not have a majority," although they adhered to the alleged ' Script' would have held.

Eichinger demands that the behavior of employees and board members must have consequences.

After all, it destroys "any trust in the body" whose "democratic decision" has been undermined by the press.

But "thank God the project failed," and so the "stability and reliability in the clinic could be preserved."

Because the clinic, according to Eichinger, is in “excellent condition”, with a “very good set-up, very good employees” and an “economic situation that the vast majority of municipal hospitals can really only dream of.”

reactions

A statement that a commenter on Facebook under Eichinger's post doubts: The situation couldn't have been "quite so great", after all there had been a fire letter from more than 200 employees in advance.

Another comment reads about a "smear comedy" in which one no longer knows "whether to laugh or cry".

It is asked whether it is illegal for a member of the supervisory board to talk to hospital employees before a meeting and for the council to plan the procedure.

Eichinger probably did that with Woedl too.

On Instagram, the reactions were more positive.

A commenter thanks for "a clear word".

A Facebook commenter asks about the conditions that preceded the whole event: "How desperate the employees must have been that such a procedure was initiated.

And at what costs is the hospital in a good financial position?

Dear District Administrator, I am happy and grateful that the Kreisbote (you call it the advertising paper) also publishes unpleasant topics.

There is a core of truth to every accusation and I hope for everyone involved that this issue will be properly addressed.”
