First the carport burned, then the flames spread to the roof structure: A fire in a residential building in Fischbachau caused a large-scale operation.

The property damage is high.

Fischbachau

- The press office of the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South reports as follows:

In the early hours of Thursday, September 29, 2022, a fire broke out in the Fischbachau district of Hammer, which is likely to have caused property damage in the high five-digit range.

A carport and the roof structure of the adjacent house had caught fire in an unexplained manner.

A car was also affected.

The Kripo Miesbach determined. 

The flames from the fire reached meters high.

Residents called the integrated control center shortly before four in the morning about the fire in the Hammer district of Fischbachau.

When the fire brigade arrived there, a carport was fully engulfed in Krugalmweg, while the flames had already spread to the roof structure of an adjacent residential building.

Numerous firefighters were on site.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished thanks to the rapid intervention of the local and surrounding fire brigades.

Nobody got hurt.

The property damage is likely to be in the high five-digit range.

The permanent criminal service of the Kripo Rosenheim took over the first investigations to clarify the cause of the fire that night and was supported by officers from the Miesbach Police Inspectorate.

As is usual in such cases, the investigations are now being continued by the responsible department 1 of the Miesbach criminal police station.

The cause of the fire is still unclear at the moment.
