Germs in drinking water: This news causes unrest in a not exactly small part of the district.
Affected: the pipeline network of the Moosrain water supply association (ZWM).
Landkreis Erding - "During routine sampling of the drinking water, the association was informed of evidence of microbiological contamination (coliform germs)," wrote the ZWM on its website early Thursday afternoon.
When asked by our newspaper, ZWM Managing Director Wolfgang Haberger gave the all-clear, at least in part.
The germs could possibly lead to diarrhea in immunocompromised people.
They were discovered in an elevated tank.
We are now relying on “pure precautionary measures”.
This includes: boiling drinking water for human consumption.
Affected by the usage restriction: the entire supply area of the Zweckverband, i.e. the entire community of Eitting and Moosinning, the community of Neuching with the exception of the village of Harlachen, the community of Oberding with the exception of Notzingermoos and the community of Finsing Brennermühle, Vorderes and Hinteres Finsingermoos, Eicherloh and the north part of Neufinsing located by the Middle Isar Canal.
The ZWM announced that the health department in the Erding district office would issue a boiling order.
The cause is still being researched.
