Incident near school: search for those involved

A dispute broke out between young people in the vicinity of a vocational school in Kehl (Ortenaukreis).

Whether a shot was actually fired, as witnesses had reported, could not initially be confirmed.

The police announced on Thursday.

No one was injured, officials said at the scene.

Kehl - The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m.

About an hour later, a police patrol found a youth who had jumped out of a bush - he was taken into custody.

During the search, the officers also searched the school building on the edge of downtown Kehl.

The investigation is ongoing, the police said.

It was initially unclear how many young people were involved in the altercation and how it came about.
