Today, Iraqi forces arrested 12 terrorists in the northern provinces of Kirkuk and Nineveh.
A statement by the Security Media Cell, carried by the Iraqi News Agency, said: The National Security Agency detachments in Kirkuk, based on accurate intelligence information, were able to carry out a qualitative operation in separate areas of the province, which resulted in the arrest of 7 terrorists belonging to the terrorist gangs (ISIS). Other detachments managed to arrest 5 others in Nineveh Governorate.
The statement indicated that the arrested are wanted in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of terrorism, for carrying out terrorist attacks against the security forces, pointing out that they were referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary action against them.
In a related context, the Iraqi Air Force managed to target a terrorist group and demolish its hideouts in Jabal Badush in Nineveh Governorate.
The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency stated in a statement that after monitoring a group of terrorist (ISIS) gang members in the Badoush Mountains, and in coordination with the Counter-Terrorism Service, the hideouts were targeted with precision strikes by Iraqi Air Force aircraft and destroyed.
