An individual suspected of having killed a man whose body was found in the trunk of a car in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) was arrested and referred this Thursday, September 29 to the public prosecutor's office in this city, announced the public prosecutor.
The man was arrested on Tuesday in possession of identity documents and objects belonging to the victim, an adult male reported missing the same day, the same source said in a statement.
He was then placed in police custody for “
concealment of theft
” by the police services of Aix-en-Provence.

The investigations subsequently carried out at the home of the missing person enabled the investigators to find traces of struggles and led to the discovery of the lifeless body of the person concerned in the trunk of a car in Aix-en-Provence.
Questioned in police custody, the suspect admitted "
having beaten the victim and having stolen some of his belongings
", said the prosecution.
