Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a signing ceremony in the Kremlin tomorrow (Friday) to approve the annexation of the four occupied districts in eastern Ukraine, the president's spokesman said today.
The president will also address the nation after the ceremony and meet with the governors of those occupied provinces.
The governors of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions said that the vast majority of the population in these territories voted to join the Russian Federation in referendums that the West called "fake" and "fraud."
According to a report in the RIA news agency, "Similar officials received an invitation to the Kremlin for an event on September 30 with the participation of President Vladimir Putin."
Denis Farfionov, the deputy of the Duma, said that the event will start at 3 pm, Moscow time (the same as Israel time).
Russia finished holding the referendum this week.
According to the reports in the country, 99% of the residents "voted" in the referendums in favor of joining the Russian Federation.
Armed soldiers supervised the vote in these territories, where many people who supported Ukraine fled Russian control.
Residents described the vote as "forced".
However, Moscow got what it wanted: the annexation of territories in eastern Ukraine, even if the rest of the world does not recognize it.

The United States Embassy in Russia issued a warning yesterday (Wednesday) that all American citizens currently living or traveling in Russia should leave immediately, as long as possible.
This is in addition to a travel warning for anyone planning to travel to Russia.
"Commercial flights are extremely limited right now and are often not available at short notice. The roads are still open. If you want to leave Russia, you should do so independently and as quickly as possible. The embassy does not have much capacity to assist its citizens, and conditions can change at a moment's notice," the statement said. On the embassy website.

European Union officials told Reuters that a deal on a new and eighth package of sanctions against Russia is expected to be signed next week, ahead of a planned summit.
The official said that the summit will focus on the referendums held in the eastern regions of Ukraine, possible annexation, nuclear threats and the disruptions in the supply of gas through the Nord Stream pipelines.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has already said that he will not support another package of sanctions and announced a "national consultation" to check whether the Hungarian people support sanctions on Russia.
After explosions near the gas pipelines earlier this week caused three gas leaks, Sweden's coast guard revealed a fourth leak from the damaged pipes.
The European Union believes that the cause of the explosions is sabotage and has promised a "resolute" response to any deliberate disruption of its energy infrastructure.
