Putin spokesman confirms: Russia wants to annex four Ukrainian regions - already on Friday

According to the Kremlin, Russia wants to annex four Ukrainian regions on Friday.

Moscow - As announced by the Kremlin, the four Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Cherson and Zaporizhia are to be annexed on Friday (September 30) and thus declared Russian territory.

At a ceremony on Friday afternoon with President Vladimir Putin, the agreements to include these regions in the Russian Federation are to be signed, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Thursday.

In “referendums” in these regions, which the West criticized as sham votes, overwhelming majorities are said to have spoken out in favor of the annexation, according to the separatists there.

The separatist leaders of Ukraine's four Russian-controlled regions arrived in Moscow as early as Wednesday evening (September 28) to take part in the annexation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin apparently wants to receive the four men.

The separatist leaders had formally asked Putin to admit the four regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia into the Russian Federation.

Celebrations for the annexation are already being prepared in Moscow.

Apparently, there should also be a celebration on Friday (September 30).

The authorities announced that streets in the city center would be closed for the day, especially around Red Square.
