Mountain, climbing, ski and winter tours as well as mountain hikes and high-altitude inspections in 2020 and 2021: Chairman Sebastian von Eltz was able to draw this positive balance at the annual meeting of the Steingaden Alpine Club section, which now has over 700 members.
Steingaden
– The last general meeting of the Steingaden Alpine Club was two and a half years ago.
"In this respect we have to collect ourselves again," said the chairman Sebastian von Eltz in the Gasthof Graf.
It was very difficult and tedious to handle the Corona regulations in the club.
"That cost us time and nerves."
However, the ever-increasing number of members also got on my nerves: "The anonymity is increasing," fears the chairman.
In 2018, the DAV section Steingaden still had 583 members, in 2020 there were 680, in 2021 already 692. There are currently over 700 members.
Material for climbing wall
According to von Eltz, it was a pleasure that material for a climbing wall could be bought during the Corona period.
This could also offer something to the youth.
In his statement of accounts, von Eltz also mentioned the mountain mass on the Hohe Bleick with Steingaden's pastor, Father Petrus Lerchenmüller, as well as the upcoming Christmas market and the Christmas party.
"We won't be able to motivate all 700 members to do this, but the majority will," said the chairman optimistically.
One after the other, board members and speakers handed in their annual reports.
Secretary Angelika Holzmann listed: The "Clean Steingaden" campaign, the wayfinding from the Kenzenhütte over to the fountain head, the educational hike on the Hohe Bleick, the Bleick fair and the planting campaign by the forest authority, during which 3400 trees were planted.
Well managed
Tour manager Timo Heinzinger listed 20 tours in summer and just as many in winter.
The highlight for the youngsters was the weekend on the Feldern Alm. "It was a fun weekend," said the tour manager.
All tours were accident-free.
"That speaks for well-trained tour guides."
Treasurer Jürgen Tobisch has managed well in the past two years.
He started with 46,610 euros.
At the end of 2021 it was 52 610 euros.
Almost everything on the board remains the same
The two board members of the DAV Peiting section, Herwig Skalitza and Eberhard Boerboom, were also among the visitors to the annual meeting.
Skalitza is happy about the active Steingaden section, he says.
And about the board of directors, who bring their experience to the local group.
Skalitza also mentioned the forthcoming digitization of the local groups and environmental protection, which stipulates climate neutrality by 2030.
The election of the board of directors was also included in the annual meeting: Apart from the second chairman, nothing changed for the next three years.
The chairman is Sebastian von Eltz, the new deputy is Bernhard Hollerbach.
Jürgen Tobisch remains cashier.
Angelika Holzmann takes care of the correspondence, while Timo Heinzinger is the tour manager.
The other board members: Wegwart Bernhard Hollerbach, Ludwig Ritzer (cycling), Peter Echtler (families), Stefan Greissl (material) and Nico Fischer (vocals).
