A question for the citizens' convention and a ministerial visit to Belgium, a country which has decriminalized euthanasia: the debate on the end of life is launched.
Thursday, the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) announced that 150 citizens would be drawn at the beginning of October.
They will begin to look at the end of life theme from December 9th.
To frame them, a governance committee chaired by Claire Thoury, member of the CESE, has just been set up.
And to guide their reflection, a question: "Is the end-of-life support framework adapted to the different individual situations encountered or should any changes be introduced?"
A formulation that is already beginning to raise questions.
