The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabash, inaugurated the Physical Medicine Center near the municipal stadium in the city of Hama, and was briefed on the progress of the early cancer investigation campaign that is being held today in the governorate.
The Minister of Health heard from the director of the center, Dr. Ayman Aboud Al-Mohammed, a detailed explanation of the purpose of the center, the treatment services it provides, the modern equipment it contains, the cases it treats, and the capacity of 60-70 patients.
In a statement to reporters, the Minister of Health indicated that the campaign for early detection of cancer in Hama governorate comes as a continuation of two similar campaigns in Tartous and Lattakia governorates to encourage early detection of the disease, in order to reduce the incidence of this disease and increase the ability to confront it and recover from it.
Al-Ghubash stressed that there are great efforts by the local community, and all concerned ministries that coordinate and cooperate with the National Cancer Control Committee, and that the turnout of citizens, men and women, for the campaign is great, as the number of clinics in Hama governorate reached about 5819 people, while the number of beneficiaries exceeded Of the examination services for the prostate, breast and cervical smear 6,841 people.
In addition, Minister Al-Ghubash was briefed on the work of mobile medical vehicles in the village of Tal Al-Durra in the western countryside of Salamiyah, the progress of the campaign in the Salamiyah National Hospital, and the work mechanism used in the hospital, especially the college department, and promised to repair the currently out-of-service axial tomography device. Work in Hama National Hospital, polyclinics, and all medical departments.
The Governor of Hama, Dr. Mahmoud Zanubua, referred to the steps and supportive measures provided by the governorate for the smooth running of the cancer investigation process, a month before the campaign began, and so far, from preparing all the necessary equipment and means of transportation necessary for the campaign, in addition to the generators needed for mobile medical vehicles, and securing medicines, and medical supplies.
