The LR mayor of Metz, François Grosdidier, announced Thursday, September 29 on social networks to be hospitalized after a stroke which occurred on Wednesday evening, specifying that he did not suffer from any sequelae.

I had a small stroke last night.
No sequelae, but certainly a hospitalization of a few days the time of the necessary analyzes and examinations
, ”wrote the city councilor in a message published on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

A municipal council, scheduled for Thursday from 3:00 p.m., will take place without François Grosdidier.
Aged 61 and father of three children, François Grosdidier has been mayor of Metz since 2020. Former senator for Moselle (2011-2020), he also chairs the Eurometropolis of Metz.
