The mayor of Metz hospitalized after a "small stroke"

"Thank you to the staff of the Mercy Hospital of the CHR Metz-Thionville, for their professionalism and their kindness", added the elected official, praying "those who counted on (s) his presence today and in the coming days" to excuse him.

A municipal council, scheduled for Thursday from 3:00 p.m., will take place without him.

Aged 61 and father of three children, François Grosdidier has been mayor of Metz since 2020. Former senator for Moselle (2011-2020), he also chairs the Eurometropolis of Metz.
