The case will appear at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts this afternoon.
On Tuesday (27th), two men were arrested by the National Security Department of the police on suspicion of violating Sections 9 and 10 of the Crimes Ordinance, Chapter 200 of the Laws of Hong Kong, "acting with seditious intent".
The two are suspected of repeatedly posting on social platforms with seditious intentions to arouse or deepen resentment and hostility among different classes in Hong Kong, as well as incite others to use violence.
According to the news, the two were involved in posting content on social platforms including "national self-improvement of Hong Kong independence" and "revolution of Hong Kong era revolution".
The police reminded the public that the crime of "acting with seditious intent" is a serious crime. The first conviction is punishable by imprisonment for two years. Members of the public should not try the law by themselves.
