The songs of the late singer Melhem Barakat attended an evening performed by the White Beauty Musical Band, led by the organist Ahmed Rahim, and the participation of the artist Khaled Abu Samra and the artist Khaldoun Al-Hanawi, amid a heavy presence that filled the corridors of Al-Azm Palace in Damascus.
The evening, which was organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music, began with a group of songs presented by the band's choir, and singer Khaled Abu Samra sang "Al-Azb Ya Habibi", followed by the song "Mafi Ward" at the request of Mai and with his melodious voice, which brought the audience back to the good time to mix a song on "Babi Waqif Qamarin".
As for the singer Khaldoun Hennawi, he performed the song “Ya Habi Yali Ghab” and the song “Irjili” and concluded the ceremony with a patriotic song “A Trab al-Sham”, which the audience interacted with with applause.
In a statement to SANA reporter, musician Ahmed Rahim pointed out the importance of this concert because the late Melhem Barakat is considered one of the pyramids of Arab singing, noting that these lyrical evenings remind the audience yearning for art with songs of the beautiful time.
