Herrsching - Accompanied by a bicycle quiz and ice cream vouchers, a painting table, deck chairs under palm trees and a parasol, there is a lot of lively discussion in Herrsching on the subject of transport policy, climate protection and the use of public space.
The signature lists for the Bavarian Radentscheid are also filling up.
The current occasion was Park(ing) Day, which raises awareness of how much space is taken up by stationary traffic and parked vehicles.
The aim of the Radentscheid is to enshrine environmentally friendly mobility in law.
Among other things, this is intended to achieve a bicycle traffic share of 25 percent by 2030, with the focus on safe cycle paths, more rapid cycle connections suitable for everyday use and ideal combinations of pedestrian, bicycle and public transport.
