US Vice President Kamala Harris arrived in South Korea on Thursday (September 29th) for a trip to highlight the strength of the alliance between Washington and Seoul, the day after new ballistic missile tests by North Korea.
Kamala Harris landed at Osan Air Base, 70 km south of Seoul, an AFP reporter has noted, after a trip to Tokyo where she attended the state funeral of slain former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abbe.
She is to meet South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and visit the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas.
