Yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, the environmental committee of the district council unanimously recommended the removal from the landscape protection area, the previous evening the majority of the Schliersee municipal council had approved the change in the land use plan.

As reported, the project is to be built around a pond on a 12,000 square meter site on Stolzenbergstraße with an organic hotel, guest house, health center and four natural chalets.

The municipal council had sent the development plan to the second round of interpretation before the summer break.

With the proviso that the final treatment will only take place after the district council has removed the area from the landscape protection area.

The Environment Committee has now taken the first step in this direction.

Nature conservation sees no "high value" in area

The responsible representative of the Department of Environment and Nature Conservation at the District Office, Johannes Gaar, first explained that the legal (un)certainty of the protected areas had not been finally clarified despite the most recent court rulings.

Waas also recalled that most of the area of ​​the Vitalresort (5000 square meters) had been covered by a legally binding development plan for 40 years.
