Soon a major construction site: the Widnmann Palace in Erding's old town.
As in the 1980s, part of the district office is to move in here again.

When converting the old district office on the long line, the district administration encountered resistance from the city as the approval authority.
One sees "important points extremely critically", OB Max Gotz let his spokesman Christian Wanninger announce on Wednesday.
Contrary to what was announced, "nothing is certain yet", according to the mayor.
According to Wanninger, the city and the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments have reservations about the plans to cover the inner courtyard of the Widnmann Palace.
A roof represents a "technoid solution that damages the palace," according to the preservationists.
Gotz advocates a courtyard designed as a garden: “All urban planning concepts for Erding envisage green inner courtyards.
The district has a role model function at this prominent location.”
Gotz does not want to close himself off to a "reasonable solution" when it comes to a roof.
So far, however, too few technical details are available.
It is also important to him that the passage from Langezeile to Roßmayrgasse remains open to the public.
The district does the same.
As part of the general renovation, the district wants to demolish the two wings in the south and north and build new office wings.
Among other things, the district administrator's office is to move here.
