Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced today that the gas leakage incident from the "Northern Stream" lines occurred in the area controlled by US intelligence.
And TASS news agency quoted Zakharova as saying in an interview on the “Slovyov Live” channel, commenting on the gas leak incidents in the “North Stream 1” and “North Stream 2” lines: that officials in Washington confirmed early this year that “North Stream 2” will never enter service. Asking US President Joe Biden to issue a response on whether Washington carried out its threat regarding pipelines on September 25-26.
Zakharova explained that the leakage incidents took place in the commercial and economic zones of Denmark and Sweden, adding: These two countries are centered around the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and filled with American weapons, and they are completely subject to the American intelligence services.
The Russian diplomatic mission in Washington had confirmed earlier today that the US Navy had actively carried out a day before the leakage incident in the same area, in addition to flying US parades and helicopters.
