Look at them running

Influenced by Agatha Christie's detective novels, this witty comedy follows a life-weary inspector (Oscar winner Sam Rockwell) and an overzealous young cop (the wonderful Saoirse Ronan) who team up to investigate a murder, which leads them to the seemingly glamorous scene of the theater's underworld. .

Karaoke

The first film of the director Moshe Rosenthal is coming to the screens after competing at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival and after winning the Audience Favorite Award and the Debut Film Award at the last Jerusalem Film Festival.

At the heart of this dramatic comedy, winner of 4 Ophir Awards, are the couple Meir (Shashon Gabai in an amazing acting display) and Tova (the excellent Rita Shukron), whose relationship is put to the test following the move of a happy-go-lucky model agent (Lior Ashkenazi) to the sleepy apartment building where they live.

This is a wonderful film that manages to move and laugh at the same time, in which the residential building is presented as a metaphor for an unfulfilled life.

series

Saturday Night Live

The old sketch show returns for its 48th season, which will be an important point in its future: since the end of the previous season, no less than eight cast members - including the stars Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Pete Davidson - have left it.

The opening episode of the new season will be hosted by Miles Teller ("Love in the Sky: Maverick"), and the musical artist will be Kendrick Lamar.

With such an impressive opening, there is no doubt that there is something to look forward to.

Rami

After a hiatus of more than two years, the comedy starring the American stand-up comedian Rami Youssef returned to the small screen.

As in its two previous seasons, this time too Yosef, who plays a version of himself in the series he created, will try to find his place in a world torn between the tradition of his parents, the Muslims who immigrated from Egypt, and the American culture he was born into.

The new season is expected to be hosted by none other than the supermodel Bella Hadid, which will be her first acting role, but the Israeli eye will mainly squint at the past of Yam Abbas, who plays Yosef's mother in the series.

music

York - Fossora

The Icelandic singer wrote the 13 songs on her 10th album during and after the corona lockdowns.

If that doesn't sound "heavy" enough, it also deals quite a bit with her mother's death.

Similar to her other albums, this time Björk has also created unconventional music, which justifies the fact that she is considered a particularly odd bird in the musical landscape - but this does not detract from the enjoyment of the songs for a single moment.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cool It Down

Nine years after the American rock band released its last album, it returns with a new product.

It is only about 33 minutes long, but Karen O and the gang concentrated all their efforts on it, and the result is evident to the ear.

Hanan Ben Ari - Live 2022

With a string of impressive hits from his two albums, Ben Ari won the love of the audience in a short time, a love that can be seen in every one of his performances.

Now, you can also hear it and feel a part of it even without traveling to Caesarea.

(R) Evolution

According to the future presented in this play, created by Dimitri Shad and Yael Ronen (who is collaborating for the first time with her father, the director Ilan Ronen), it seems that humanity will be dominated by machines.

The black and witty humor in this play, which is based on the book "21 Thoughts on the 21st Century" by Yuval Noah Harari, shows how a digital dictatorship could be particularly dangerous for humanity.

Maybe we can still change what is ahead of us.

Amorphy against the forms

Through a sensitive and humorous story, the Jerusalem Dance Theater troupe's show, based on a book of the same name by Eyal Nahum, tries to deepen children's familiarity with basic geometric shapes.

The story on which the show was written, which combines dance, text, video and original music, was inspired by Nahum's three children, some of whom have special needs.

Through the characters, the viewers learn about the difference that exists between people, about the emotional difficulties that children experience with others and about the acceptance of the other.

exhibition

house. building

This group exhibition was created as part of an urban plan where artists-creators were attached to buildings in Tel Aviv to present the changes the city is going through, alongside strengthening the residents in creating a meaningful living space.

The artist-creators present the relationships they have developed with the buildings, and their extraordinary creations range from a collage of video works to sculptures, and even a unique dollhouse.
