Bräurosl host Peter Reichert is criticized - guests complain about the bad atmosphere and bad food.

Now the city's food inspectors are also starting criminal proceedings.

Munich – It's his first year as the host of one of the big Oktoberfest tents, the premiere is more than bumpy.

Peter Reichert, landlord of the Bräurosl, has to deal with criticism from guests: there is talk of a bad atmosphere, bad food, long waiting times.

Then there was trouble because of the music - the concept of Bavarian brass band music instead of hits didn't suit every visitor.

The criticism was so severe that the band is now being replaced and the program changed.

And the anger doesn't stop.

According to information from our newspaper, the municipal food inspectors will initiate criminal proceedings against Reichert.

This was confirmed on Wednesday by the district administration department responsible for the monitors.

The inspectors are said to have found violations regarding the storage of food and its further processing.

Wiesn 2022 and the Bräurosl-Zoff: Problems with the cooling monitoring

It is a requirement that proceedings be initiated.

There does not necessarily have to be a consequence afterwards - for example, a fine as part of an administrative offense is also conceivable.

Still, there is music in it.

The municipal economics officer Clemens Baumgärtner, who is also the head of the Oktoberfest at the same time, announces serious talks.

Landlord Reichert himself told our newspaper: "Unfortunately, it happened to us that the cooling system failed.

Now the electrician is there every hour to make sure everything is running.” And: He will now introduce cooling monitoring, as is customary in modern companies.

With other points of criticism, something has already happened – a meeting with the bosses had preceded it.

The hacker brewery, which owns the tent, responded to the allegations and asked Reichert to report.

Wiesn 2022: Bräurosl changes band for "Prime Time".

First consequence: In the evening another band is playing, namely Erwin and the Heckfins.

Josef Menzl's Festkapelle is only on stage during the day.

"We will not be replaced, but relieved in the evening," emphasizes Kapellmeister Josef Menzl.

Because guests had complained - they wanted more Oktoberfest hits and hits instead of traditional Bavarian sounds.

Menzl annoyed: "You wouldn't want to believe that brass music doesn't get through in a Bavarian beer tent." Actually, the new Bräurosl should have been a link between the Oktoberfest and the Oider Wiesn, explains the conductor.

After all, landlord Reichert also comes from there.

This attempt can be regarded as a failure.

However, according to some guests, the music is not the only problem.

There were also complaints about the service.

There is talk of long waiting times and difficulties with the organization.

The day before the start of the Wiesn there was trouble: several waiters had quit because they felt they had been treated unfairly when dividing up the areas.

Later, a waitress turned directly to our newspaper: The allocation of the waiters had been made arbitrarily.

She is frustrated: "I am a very experienced folk festival waitress and earn zero euros in the beer garden, while newcomers who are visibly overwhelmed make a fortune in the tent."

Reichert and partner Franziska Kohlpaintner reply that there was no arbitrariness - they dealt intensively with the service staff and tried to meet every wish.

Reichert declared himself on Wednesday afternoon at a hastily convened press conference.

Brewery boss Andreas Steinfatt also spoke there.

He emphasized: “We talked intensively.

Let's do it together now, we'll get it done.

We stand behind Peter and Franziska.”
