Johannes Becher is again the green top candidate for the state elections.

This time he wants to win the direct mandate.

Freising

– For the Greens in the district of Freising, the election campaign for the state and district elections in a year's time has started immediately.

The quartet of candidates was nominated on Thursday.

The “greatest goal” of the Greens was formulated by electoral officer Thorsten Klenke: “We want to win the direct mandate for the state parliament.” The man they are counting on is called Johannes Becher.

The member of parliament received 100 percent of the votes – 57 out of 57. There was an optimistic mood in the Hofbrauhauskeller, where the district Greens had gathered to choose candidates.

The most important nomination was at the beginning: It was anything but a surprise that the member of the state parliament, Johannes Becher, who has been in office since 2018, is again going to vote.

However, it was a small surprise that the 34-year-old explicitly "didn't want to hit it".

He is currently experiencing politics with many crises and just as many mutual finger pointing - a political style that he just didn't want to cultivate on Thursday.

The direction is clear: 100 percent renewable energy

He and his party stand for finding solutions to the problems.

It takes "courage and determination to implement the ideas." The good thing is that you know the direction: You have to rely on 100 percent renewable energies, use the potential of photovoltaics and wind power in the district in order to "make us independent by Putin and consorts".

That is "the vision of the future".

Other topics that Becher wants to tackle and pursue in the coming legislative period are the runway and social justice.

He will continue to fight for the building permit for the runway to be lifted: "We don't need a moratorium.

We need nothing less than a funeral.” When it comes to social justice, it starts with the very young.

Becher doesn't want to experiment, but invest in the skilled workers.

The Greens are "the power of humanity", it's about helping those who need help - for example the Ukraine refugees.

They didn't deserve to be defamed with any sentence, Becher alluded to the statement by CDU leader Friedrich Merz about "social tourism".

Conclusion: politics and Maximilianeum - "that is my passion, my passion".

List candidate is Joana Bayraktar (26)

The list candidate of the district Greens also received 100 percent of the votes: Her name is Joana Bayraktar, she is 26 years old and has been both a city councilor in Freising and a district councilor since 2020.

Actually, as she said in her application speech, now is the time to work together and constructively on the problems and crises.

However, the CSU is pursuing “tough clientele politics”.

Above all, with her candidacy she wanted to ensure that Johannes Becher returned to the state parliament, because he was “the absolutely great person for this job”.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

There was a contested vote when nominating the direct candidate for the district council: Susanne Ackstaller (56), Green party councilor from Kirchdorf, advertising and business copywriter and blogger, but could not assert herself against Sabine Bock: Bock, educational director of the center of the family in Freising, is already "connected with the district" in this function anyway, as she said, knows about the interests and concerns of the clientele.

Her credo: "We need a labor market policy that is family-oriented, not a labor market-oriented family policy".

Bock received 41 votes, while Ackstaller received 17 votes.
