Five gendarmes prosecuted for having inflated moving bills were sentenced to fines of between 500 and 3300 euros, half of which were suspended, pronounced Friday, September 30 by the court of Périgueux.
These fines correspond to the amount of the sums overpaid by these soldiers assigned to the brigade of Thiviers (Dordogne) at the time of the facts.
They have since been transferred to other units of the gendarmerie in the department or elsewhere, and could also be subject to disciplinary proceedings.
