To prepare for the return to parliament, Elisabeth Borne received the group presidents by providing, for each political family, a “bicameral” meeting with the boss of the deputies and that of the senators.

For the Republicans alone, the group presidents, Olivier Marleix and Bruno Retailleau, came separately.

Agenda problem explained the interested parties.

But the Prime Minister sees it as a sign of the difference in approach between the LR senators, more constructive on the merits, and the deputies, more opponents in the posture.

The Republicans party will choose a new president.

But Laurent Wauquiez, who is looking towards 2027, remains at a distance, preferring to ensure an ally in place by playing for the victory of Éric Ciotti.
