Host announces prematurely: Golfers' gourmet temple in emergency mode

The Olchinger Golf Club's restaurant is considered a gourmet temple because of its renowned chef.
But now it has been closed for a long time.

However, a successor is already in sight.
For those who do not belong to the Olchinger Golf Club, the gourmet temple on Feursstraße is currently taboo.
"Closed all the time" says the website.
It's obvious that something isn't going right here.
The host of the golf club gastronomy surprisingly resigned in mid-June, before the contract expired.
Martina Drechsler, chairwoman of the club, which has around 1,000 members, finds the situation "very uncomfortable", as she explains to the daily newspaper.
The CSU deputy councillor, herself a passionate golfer, clearly pointed out to the restaurateur that the contract terms should be observed.

However, he has evidently found a new place of work in Moosach.
Improvisation is currently taking place in Olching.
There is still a reduced range of meals for members, and according to Drechsler, the management of the few tournaments that are still to come this year is also guaranteed.
But the public no longer enjoys it.
Everything to your satisfaction
The restaurant has actually made a name for itself far beyond the district due to renowned chefs.
The current landlords took over the golf gourmet temple in March 2020, just for the Corona pandemic.
Everything went to the satisfaction of club president Martina Drechsler, as she explains, despite the crisis.
However, the tense personnel situation, especially in the catering area, did not exactly play into the hands of the operators.
"It was a difficult start in the middle of the pandemic, but the host pulled it off well."
After all, there is already a successor in sight.
This should take over at the end of October.
However, as long as the lease has not been signed, Drechsler does not want to reveal the name.
Only so much: He comes from northern Germany, has Croatian roots and has already gained a lot of experience in the German golf scene to be served.
Like its predecessor, it is a family business that the new landlord wants to run with his wife, son, brother and brother-in-law.
