The ARD recently confirmed this and announced a "show with Florian Silbereisen".

The Austrian broadcaster ORF was a bit more specific and actually wrote "Schlagerboom 2022" in its program preview.

In addition, ESC icon Nicole has announced that she will be a guest for the hit boom on social networks.

Oddly enough, a few weeks before the Silbereisen show was broadcast, everyone was rowing back.

The first edition of "Feste der Volksmusik" was broadcast on June 2, 1994.

At that time, however, not on Saturday at prime time, but on Thursday at 9:03 p.m.

Since 1995 they have been broadcast as a major Saturday night show.

Initially, the big hit spectacle was moderated by Carmen Nebel.

Florian Silbereisen has been the face of the "Fest der Volksmusik" since 2004.

Schlager star Nicole recently deleted her Schlagerboom post and the ORF has also removed the Schlagerboom from its program preview.

There is still no reason to panic, because "Festivals of Folk Music" is the generic term for a wide variety of Silbereisen shows.

So it may well be that the Schlager boom is still taking place.

Florian Silbereisen and ARD have the habit of only making details of the hit shows public at the very last minute.

It is likely that Nicole and the ORF just made the information public too hasty.

The rumors about the Schlager boom don't stop.
