The employees of the hospital GmbH provided information on the subject of the central hospital at various information stands.

Further events are to follow.

District – Now the hospital GmbH is going all out and is actively providing information on the subject of the planned central clinic in the Weilheim-Schongau district.

"They want to have a say and be heard," says a press release, numerous employees have already reached the citizens of Peißenberg, Schongau and Weilheim at the information stands.

Central hospital information campaign: Nobody was there from the Pro-Hospital Schongau action alliance

"The response was excellent," reports Nursing Director Anne Ertel, who coordinated the campaign together with her colleague Sandra Buchner and employees.

Representatives of some factions as well as mayors, district councilors and members of parliament visited the stands.

However, no one was there from the action alliance for the Schongau hospital.

In Weilheim, the influx was rather low on the first weekend.

In Schongau, the first information stand was set up at Marienplatz, and there was little going on there either.

"We had thought that this is exactly where we would encounter the most resistance," says Ertel.

Last Saturday the stand was then moved to the Schongauer V-Markt - apparently with great success.

"There were significantly more critical citizens, we discussed a lot and also explained the political background," says Ertel.

She had the impression that many citizens still had some catching up to do in this regard.

"The action alliance had obviously not informed well when collecting the signatures for the citizens' initiative," says Ertel.

Even if there were "really interesting discussions",

Central hospital information campaign: Save care with new concepts

Employees from all levels and professional groups of the hospital are represented in the information campaign, from doctors to employees from social services or the secretariats.

"We have broad support from the employees who stand at the stands in their free time, I didn't expect that at all," says Ertel.

According to Thilo Rudloff, head of the "Internal Medicine" station in Weilheim, many citizens do not know that the employees of the hospital GmbH are clearly behind the plans to merge the two locations in Weilheim and Schongau.

It is not at all about the question of whether a central clinic or not.

The question is rather whether you want to save the hospital supply in the district with new concepts or break it because you have no will to change.

For the nursing director, rescue is the better alternative: "We don't want minimal care, as requested in the citizens' petition.

We want maximum security.” There is therefore no alternative to centralization.

Ertel: "The central clinic is the only way to secure the future of hospital care in the district in the long term," she makes clear.
