Another 28 people were injured in Zaporizhzhia district, when they tried to cross from the Ukrainian side to the side held by the Russians • The shooting - hours before the celebrations in Moscow for the "annexation" of Zaporizhzhia district to Russia • Next to it are supposed to be "annexed" Kherson district, and the "republics" of Donetsk and Luhansk

23 people were killed this morning (Friday) when a Russian missile hit a humanitarian aid convoy on the outskirts of the city of Zaporizhia.

According to Ukrainian authorities, another 28 were injured.

The missile hit a crossing point near the town of Vasilivka - the only crossing through which cars pass from the territory of Ukraine to the territories of Zaporizhzhia district, which are held by the Russians.

The passengers in the convoy were going to visit the occupied territories to "deliver aid to their relatives, who live under the occupation, and return."

According to Kyiv, a total of 16 missiles of the S-300 systems were fired at the territories of the district that remain under the sovereignty of Ukraine.

It has been a long time that Russia has been using surface-to-air missiles for the purpose of bombing targets on the ground due to a lack of the designated missiles or out of saving them.

During the last day, the Russians also fired volleys at Dnipro and Mykolaiv.

One person was killed.

Meanwhile, Russia is about to take another step today towards annexing the territories it conquered during the current invasion and the two "republics" of Donetsk and Luhansk, which were established under its direction and with the help of the unofficial eight years ago.

At 15:00 today, agreements are expected to be signed in the Kremlin between Moscow and the "republics" and the administrations of the Russian occupation in the territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia districts.

Russian President Putin is expected to give a speech during the event, and according to estimates he will once again explain his unique view of Ukraine's history.

On Tuesday, "referendums" were concluded in the "republics" and in the territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, which Russia holds, in which, according to the occupying forces, between 87% (Kherson district) and 99.2% (Donetsk) expressed their desire to join Russia.

Governments throughout the Western world condemned the referendums, because they were held without a democratic-legal basis, because many residents of the districts fled them due to the war, and because the remaining were forced to vote.

Israel also announced that it would not recognize the results of the referendums.

During the night it was announced in Russia that Putin has already signed a decree, recognizing the sovereignty of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

This is a necessary move in terms of the Russian constitution to advance the annexation process.

Today, eyes are also on the Republic of Dagestan in the Russian North Caucasus, where since the beginning of the week there have been calls for demonstrations against the conscription after Friday prayers.

The republic leads in the number of dead from all Russian regions, and with the announcement of the conscription, riots and clashes with the police and the National Guard broke out in it.

The protest in the republic, made up of a vast mosaic of ethnic minorities, blends into discontent and even unrest among other ethnic regions of Russia.

Activists among members of various minorities such as Buryats, Tobins and Shakirs protest the higher death rates among members of their own people compared to districts with ethnic Russian dominance.

In Kiev, they want to ride this wave, especially in the North Caucasus, and last night President Volodymyr Zelensky even recorded a special speech for the Russian minorities, against the background of the house where Imam Shamil lived - the leader of the wars for the independence of the Caucasus against imperial Russia in the 19th century.
